Tucson Zero Waste Secrets: Nur Market

Tucson Zero Waste Secrets: Nur Market

A short four blocks away from my house is a mediterranean market and restaurant named Nur Market. It took me way too long to stop in to check it out. I used to be a picky eater and less adventurous in my shopping. That has changed in recent years and I was long overdue to visit this local grocery.

As I was beginning to suspect, Nur Market is amazing! I’ve been a frequent visitor now since early 2018. My favorite part is their small bulk goods section. To be honest with you, my other favorite part is the assortment of European Kinder and Milka chocolates. I have to watch my intake of Kinder Buenos.

In their bulk section, you can find the below items and more:

  • Almonds

  • Cashews

  • Rice

  • Popcorn Seeds

  • Mixed Savory Nuts

  • Kri Kri Nuts

  • Dried Fruits

On the shelves, they have lots of household and grocery items and they sell a variety of bulk spices. I’ll also run over to Nur when I’m in need of some veggies like onions and potatoes, or sometimes I’ll grab some plantains as a special treat. They've been open in this location since 2007 and I can't imagine my neighborhood without them.

Connect with Nur Market online and we hope you visit! Let us know if you love it like we do!
