About

Cero is a vegan, zero waste store based in Tucson, Arizona. Cero is proudly Tucson's first dedicated zero waste shop.

In May 2019, Cero began as a pop-up shop and then grew into a retail and events space located at Tucson & Broadway Blvd along The Sunshine Mile.

In March 2023, Cero reopened in its new home at the base of the Monier Building in the Mercado District in Menlo Park, near A Mountain. Our current address is 160 S. Avenida Del Convento, Suite 188. On the east side of the building, adjacent to the street.

Our focus is on low waste, ethically made products. We curate products that are vegan, cruelty-free, and low on plastic and packaging. We also love to support our local and regional vendors. Cero features a refill bar where you can bring in your own containers to fill up on household staples like hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap, household cleaners, and hair and body products.

Meet the Founder

Val has been a localist and environmentalist on a path towards a sustainable, less wasteful lifestyle for over a decade. She started dreaming of a trash-free grocery store before “zero waste” was a thing, and before zero waste stores like "Unverpackt” opened in Germany and around the globe.

While a few stores in Tucson had some bulk sections and offerings, Val saw the opportunity to create Tucson's very own zero waste store.
